The Revd David A. Clark: 1929-2022

Baptist minister who spoke constantly of the amazing, forgiving love of his Lord and served Him with enthusiasm and faithfulness

David ClarkDavid died on 13 September surrounded by his family. Educated at Liverpool (physics), Bristol and Oxford (theology), he ministered to churches and chaplaincies in Coventry, Leeds, Derby, Cardiff and Birmingham.

David played an active role in the Baptist Union of Great Britain and local Baptist Associations, serving on various committees. He was committed to local ecumenism, always seeking to serve local communities alongside other churches and often leading local clergy groups.

David was larger than life, living in the joy of the grace of God! He spoke constantly of the amazing, forgiving love of his Lord and served Him with enthusiasm and faithfulness.

He was also a thoughtful and challenging preacher, not afraid to speak out against injustice and poverty. He unstintingly loved and cared for his family, his friends, the churches he pastored and many others across Europe and the world.
