Andy Frost has been appointed to lead Crossing London mission initiative following the withdrawal of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association earlier this year.

This initiative is the first united all-age London mission in the past 20 years for over 500 interested churches across London and the Home Counties and representing all denominations.

Andy, of Share Jesus International and son of the late Rob Frost, has been responsible for the London Pentecost Festivals in recent years and will be
Andy Frost appointed to lead C
dovetailing the Pentecost initiative into plans for 2014.

He said, 'I have a heart for London and the millions of people spread across the capital. Yes, we have a formidable challenge in front of us in communicating and demonstrating the gospel of Jesus Christ to people from so many different cultures and ethnic divides, but we are building upon the great work that churches do week in and week out.

'This is an opportunity for the whole Church of God to come together across London in the next eighteen months to share Jesus with their families, work colleagues and neighbours.

'I am looking forward to working with hundreds of churches and organisations and especially with HOPE during 2014, as together we bring the life transforming message of Jesus to the people of London.'

Baptist minister the Revd Stephen Gaukroger, chairman of the Crossing London Executive, described the past few months as 'challenging'.

He added, ' We now look forward to this new season of opportunity with Andy Frost leading the London-wide initiative as its mission director. We are confident that he, together with existing team members and following the original Crossing London vision, will make the next eighteen months an exciting
time for our capital'.

Crossing London has a four-fold mission strategy: it is designed to encourage leaders; equip Christians, engage communities and help people encounter Jesus.
