Growing number of Small Church Hubs

Hubs enable smaller Baptist churches to meet for training, resourcing and general encouragement. Several are now in existence, and there is a meeting in April for anyone wanting to find out more. An update from Hilary Taylor

1205727

There are five Baptist Small Church Hubs up and running so far across the country with six more planned to start this year. The vision is to have a centre in each county or local area to bring the smaller churches together for training, events, celebrations and resourcing.

We are looking for churches, small or large, which have a car park (or are near a station) and good facilities and people who are openhearted and welcoming to 10-12 local small churches gathering 3-4 times a year.

Let’s make the opportunities to meet, talk, pray, listen and dream about how God wants his church to reach out to those who are lost.

To ask:
  • What is in your hand?
  • Who have you got?
  • How are they gifted?
  • What are they passionate about?

We need to be having these conversations and embracing adventure in this new and uncertain post-Covid world.

There is a zoom meeting on Thursday 27 April at 7pm for those who are hub hosts already and those who are interested and want to know more. Contact Hilary Taylor for more information!

Areas that have a local hub – Stotfold (CBA), Eastern Avenue (LB), High Wycombe (CBA), Waltham Abbey (LB) & Cosby (EMBA).

Areas planning to start a hub – Tiverton (SWBA), Lavendon (CBA), Earls Colne (EBA), Princes Risborough (CBA), Barlestone (EMBA) & Alvechurch (HEBA).
